We asked artist Katariina Kirves to design our Christmas album cover.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Tumman taivaan taika album contains multiple previously unpublished pieces. Our choir\u2019s house composer, an alumnus of the choir <strong>Elina Majuri<\/strong> composed two new songs for the album. The titular song <em>Tumman taivaan taika<\/em> is based on a text written by <strong>Katariina Lantto<\/strong>and the lyrics of <em>Jouluy\u00f6<\/em> are a poem written by <strong>Immi Hell\u00e9n<\/strong> in 1916.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Composer and choir conductor <strong>Sabrina Ljungberg's<\/strong> cheerful <em>Tule armas joulu!<\/em> is based on an 1870's poem by <strong>Sakari Topelius.<\/strong> The mysterious <em>Metsien joulu<\/em> was arranged for Teekkarikuoro by composer <strong>Virpi Eroma.<\/strong> Familiar Yuletide carols are performed on the album in both traditional versions and refreshing new arrangements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We wish you enjoyable moments with our music!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The album was recorded in May 2022 and released on 24 November 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teekkarikuoro.fi\/tumman-taivaan-taika\/\" target=\"_self\">T<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">he songs and more information about the album.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can also buy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teekkarikuoro.fi\/tuote\/tumman-taivaan-taika-cd-5-kpl\/\" target=\"_self\">5 albums at the price of 60\u20ac.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Suomalaisessa joulussa yhdistyv\u00e4t pime\u00e4n vuodenajan luoma taianomaisuus ja tunnelmallisuus, hohtavien hankien ja kynttil\u00f6iden valo sek\u00e4 yhdess\u00e4olo ja toivo.
