The traditional Christmas concert of Teekkarikuoro will take place on Wednesday, December 3 at 19 in Hervanta Church. Throughout the past year, our choir has been celebrating its 40th anniversary, and what better way to conclude this festive year than with a warm-hearted Christmas concert.
The concert will feature both traditional Christmas carols and the choir’s own original Christmas repertoire. The concert is conducted by Jani Laaksonen, who began as the artistic director of Teekkarikuoro this autumn. Come to Hervanta and get into the Christmas spirit together with Teekkarikuoro!
Founded in 1985, Teekkarikuoro is a long-standing star of Tampere’s student choir scene. The members are mainly engineering students, but the approximately 60 singers also include graduates and people from other fields. Based on Tampere University Hervanta campus, the choir strives for a lively sound and a versatile repertoire—without forgetting a good dose of fun.
Admission to the concert is free. The program booklet costs €25, with a discounted price of €12 for students, pensioners, unemployed persons, and conscripts. Tickets are available in advance from Tiketti and from choir members. The total duration of the concert is approximately one hour.
